An Accessible Lifestyle
Adjacent to The Workshops are other key MRA developments. These include the proposed Midland Health Campus, a 335 bed general hospital set to open in 2012, and Western Australia’s largest police complex.
Opportunities abound for living and working locally, with all daily needs catered for within a short, interesting walk or cycle. A CAT (Central Area Transit) bus system proposed is proposed, and train and bus links are on the doorstep. The express train into Perth City takes only 19 minutes with a standard trip being 25 minutes.
The Workshops is bordered to the south by the Helena River foreshore, an area of importance as a natural resource. It will be landscaped, retaining natural bushland and topography. The foreshore will include walking trails and cycle paths, as well as picnic areas.
The renowned Swan Valley region, a tourist destination offering vineyards and wine trails, restaurants, fresh produce and arts and crafts outlets is on Midland’s doorstep. The Perth Hills region is also close by, and Perth Airport is a short drive away.
